Message ...and a Master's degree in Physics and Mathematics. And a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration - Management...and I blow your SAT scores out of the water.

I'm glad to hear it. He asked me about my reading comprehension score, so I told him. I don't recall anybody asking you. I'm glad to know that though.

And I have been a high energy research physicist for 8 years, lecturing across the US, in France, and in China, before going into business here in Chicago. Now we have each other's resumes. None of this means that you are reading posts very carefully.

I read the posts carefully. I just disagree with you.

As with all of physics, you teach students the first-order approximation and leave off the remaining parts; staying in the regime where the higher-order terms are negligibly small. Saying that F=mu*N "needs to be augmented" refers to the missing elements. With elastic objects, the remaining terms are not small, they can be bigger than the usual term by itself. So yes, I did say you cannot apply F=mu*N *alone* to the problem. If you are not familliar with the language of science, I can't help that.

I understand. I mentioned your caveat.

I'm glad you think you are a good student. I am trying to teach people something. Why not pay attention instead of calling people names and taking a hostile attitude?

I apologize for the hostile attitude - I just get frustrated when I read things that are so inaccurate.

You have spent more time looking for grammar and spelling mistakes than you have trying to absorb new information.

I never once corrected yours or Matt's spelling and grammar. SactoTodd thought it would be funny to correct mine, so I returned the favor. It was all in good fun and had absolutely nothing to do with you.

Rather than fixate on how I'm wrong no matter what I say, why not open yourself to learn something new, from a qualified expert?

You are highly qualified. I am very impressed. I still disagree however, as I am entitled to. I think there may be some degree of miscommunication going on here, so let's redefine the parameters of the matter at hand.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Your Theory: Thinner tires with larger sidewalls are best for drag-racing.

My Theory: Wider tires with equally large sidewalls are best for dragracing.

If this is an accurate distillation of your argument, I must disagree.

WAR!!
